Call to get burn permit
Residents in the unincorporated
areas of Glynn County have to telephone or visit the Georgia
Forestry Commission office to obtain a burn permit, or visit
their website.
Residents can obtain a permit by
calling 262-2330 or visiting the office at 2855 Ga. 32.
Once a permit number is issued,
please contact us at 554-7775 with the information so that we
are aware of the burning.
All fires must be out by dark
unless otherwise specified when the permit is issued.
If
we receive any complaints it may be necessary for the fire to be
extinguished.
As with all fires, do not leave
it unattended and have a water source nearby in the event of a
flare-up.
The personnel at Georgia
Forestry and at our Department can provide additional
information if necessary.
