David Earl Lane Sr., 53, of Brunswick, died Sunday in the Brunswick hospital of Southeast Georgia Health System from injuries sustained in a boating accident.

 

Mr. Lane was a native of Brunswick, and a former resident of Jesup before he moved back to Brunswick 10 years ago. He was a member of Bay Harbour Church of God. Mr. Lane was the greatest Papa in the world.

 

Survivors include his wife, Pamela D. Lane of Brunswick; his children and their spouses, daughter, Sabrina A. Reynolds (Chuck) of Brunswick, two sons, David E. Lane Jr. (Tina) and Eric A. Lane (Britney) both of Brunswick; a sister, Clara Mae Dixon of Jesup; four brothers, Junior Lane of Jesup, Tony Lane, Bum Lane and Stanley Lane, all of Brunswick; a sister-in-law, Jackie Allen of Brunswick; a brother-in-law, Ricky Gunn of Brunswick; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Bay Harbour Church of God with the Rev. Rickey Harris, the Rev. Marcus Zipperer and the Rev. Chris Foster offi ciating.

 

Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Donnie Aspinwall, Thomas Underwood, Jeff Lane, Johnny Smith, Joey Carroll and Timothy Allen.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be Junior Lane, Tony Lane, Bum Lane, Stanley Lane, Clara Mae Dixon, Mike Boatright, Wilbur Rentz, Jean Whiteside, Edra Smith, Rick Gunn, Dr. James Green, Dr. Wayne Woodbury and Kenny Futch.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
