Rodney Ashley LaBoone, 47, of Lyons died April 28 from injuries
sustained in an automobile accident in Savannah.
Mr. LaBoone graduated
from Brunswick High School in 1975 and was a veteran of the U.S.
Navy. He lived most of his life in Glynn County, working at
Southeast Georgia Health System and as a Glynn County
firefighter and emergency medical technician. Mr. LaBoone, a
registered nurse, was employed at the time of his death by
Psychiatric Nursing Services at Coastal State Prison in
Savannah.
A memorial service was
held at the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation in Vidalia on
April 30.
Survivors include his
wife, Dawn LaBoone of Lyons; daughters, Shannon Endara
(Mauricio) of Orlando, Fla., and Ashley Burger (Trent) of
Kapolei, Hawaii; stepsons, David Hawkins of Cartersville and
Drew Hawkins of Stockbridge; mother, Rebecca Christmas of
Brunswick; brothers, John LaBoone III of St. Marys, Perry
LaBoone of Bradenton, Fla., and Craig LaBoone of Brunswick;
sister, Kim LaBoone of Marietta; four grandchildren, Courtney
Prewitt, Gabriel Endara, Trinity Burger and Triston Burger; and
several nieces and nephews.
Mr. LaBoone was
predeceased by his father, John LaBoone Jr.
