Take a swing on tax day

Mark Sager, president of the Golden Isles Emerald Society, left, and Glynn County firefighter Anthony Merrow look on as Amy Wendel takes a swing at a junked car with a sledgehammer on Wednesday during the Emerald Society’s Tax Relief Smash-a-Car event on Altama Avenue.  The proceeds from the event went to Brunswick resident Tony Mugevin to help finance her upcoming kidney transplant. The funds were given in honor of Glynn County firefighter A.J. Keller, who passed away on Monday.
