Glynn County Fire Department Reports Year’s First Fatality

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga.- On Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at approximately 11:00 p.m., the Glynn County Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire which resulted in one fatality. Fire engines and EMS crews were dispatched to a mobile home at 284 Cardinal Street located in the Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in Brunswick where they found half of the structure was consumed by fire.

Upon search of the home, a five year old male resident was found dead. The body has been transported to the Georgia State Crime Laboratory where an autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death. The cause of the structure fire remains undetermined and is under investigation by the Glynn County Fire Department.
