GLYNN COUNTY, GA – The Glynn County Fire Department was notified of a residential fire at approximately 6:45 in the morning.

The department responded with the on duty deputy chief, two fire engines, an ambulance and the Ballard volunteers.  Shortly after arriving a second ambulance was called to assist because the first ambulance was treating a fire victim.

Arriving personnel found a well developed fire on one end of a single wide mobile home.  Personnel made an initial interior attack from the unburned end stopping the advancement of the fire.

Department personnel remained on-scene for several hours doing overhaul to insure that there was no rekindle after leaving.

The fire victim was transported to the local hospital and was expected to be treated and released.  One firefighter suffered a minor cut during the overhaul process.  No other injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
