Damages from fire cost in thousands

A fire Thursday at a Brunswick liquor store caused $200,000 in damages, the Glynn County Fire Department estimates.

The fire at Zeke’s Altama Wine & Liquors at 6090 Altama Ave. started around 4:11 a.m.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No injuries were reported.

It took firefighters 45 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

The county fire department responded with three engines, a paramedic squad, and an aerial truck.
