Glynn County firefighters Dana Maddox, left, and

fire off U.S. Hwy. 17 south of Mud Cat Charlie's
Tuesday. The fire, which destroyed about six acres
of marsh, began around 4 p.m. and was extinguished
at 7:30 p.m. when it moved closer to the highway.
