 The
Glynn County Commission met Tuesday December 9, 2003 and named
Al Thomas as interim fire chief to serve during the search for a
replacement for the retiring Carl Johnson, who is resigning
after more than 10 years as chief and 30 years with the
department.
Al
Thomas started his career as a volunteer firefighter 24 years
ago and has been a fire investigator, educator, emergency
medical technician, paramedic and has assisted in coordinating
fire services for the upcoming G-8 Summit.
