Department Summary

The Glynn County Fire Department, serving the citizens of Glynn County, Georgia, is a combination career / volunteer department responsible for protecting the lives and property of approximately 70,000 residents and their guests while in Glynn County, Georgia.  The Glynn County Fire Department protects approximately 423 square miles of Glynn County from 8 fire stations County wide, responding to emergency calls in the unincorporated portion of Glynn County.  In addition to providing primary protection to the unincorporated portion of Glynn County, we also provide mutual and automatic aid to the Brunswick Fire Department, the Jekyll Island Fire Department, and neighboring counties.

 

The Glynn County Fire Department's current ISO rating is 4/9.

To protect life and property of the citizens and visitors of Glynn County by providing technically advanced Emergency Medical, Fire Suppression, Education and Prevention Services in the most cost effective and customer oriented manner from a trained staff of professionals while recognizing our personnel as the key to our success.

The Glynn County Fire Department receives dispatch instructions through the Glynn-Brunswick 9-1-1 center and at fire stations via previously published emergency numbers.

 

The Department is dispatched and operates on the following 800 MHz Trunked Type II radio frequencies:

The Glynn County Fire Department's dispatch frequency is simulcast across our VHF frequency 154.385 MHz
